Interesting idea, why not to try to retouch old brickwork with some modern design, such as LEGO brick. As you can see it looks cool, and you can try this at your own place if you have some old building in your yard. LEGO brick are always interesting and there are many oportunity what to do with them. Jan Vormann used those to retouch worn out brickwork.
