Cartoon Characters Skeletons

Those pictures which you see represent an Animatus, skill which allow you to see all bones of the famous cartoon characters. Here are showed professional project of the Bugs Bunny, Wile E Coyote and Road Runner, Donald Duck and Tom & Jerry.

This was created by Hyungkoo Lee who says that the Animatus series started with the “intention to analyze anatomical structures and physical forms of animation characters, within the hypothesis to visualize their possible anatomical foundation.” Those skeletons are constructed with a hybrid mix of real animal bones and using synthetic materials too.

    Interesting… one note of correction: Tom and Jerry are not Looney Tunes characters; they are a Hanna-Barbara creation.

    Also, Donald Duck is a Disney creation. And Tom’s teeth look like human dentures instead of canine.

    @josh
    Tom isn’t a canine he’s a feline, cat not dog.
    Ducks bills are cartilage not bone, they would not appear on the skeleton

    Lighten up, people. Who gives a crap if duck bills would show up on a skeleton or if Tom is a
    Hanna Barbera creation? This is a concept that’s supposed to be fun. You do remember what fun is, right?

    I’m pretty sure he knows that cat’s are feline’s. he was referring to the canine teeth, which cats, dogs, humans, and lot of other animals have.

    These are cool, but I like Michael Paulus’ earlier works. Of course, those were drawings while these are sculptural representations, but maybe seeing Paulus’ stuff first spoiled me for them.
