This was actually demonstrated on one of the first episodes of seson 10 of Top Gear - the english car-tv-show. The car platform can actually slide all the way out, so it is easy to get in/out of the car.

Wow, I was immediately impressed!! Now I am of retirement age, but not sure if I could afford this monster luxury RV. I would be willing to give up an arm or leg for it, but then who would give one up for an old leg or arm? Well, I can dream, and maybe someday I can win one. Wow.

This bus looks like it popped out of a James Bond movie!! Wish i had the money to buy something like that! Having saw this, who needs a house ?
You will have your own house on wheels WITH parking!!
