  2. Mathias December 10th, 2007 at 5:20 pm

Don’t want to know the price of it… Would you get the Merc for free if you buy one?

  3. arLeNe December 11th, 2007 at 6:03 am

  4. Mark McManus December 11th, 2007 at 9:37 pm

    Doesn’t even have a gym. ;-)

  5. Mystech December 11th, 2007 at 10:14 pm

What a great idea in an age of climate change, dependence on renewable resources and global economic disparity.

  6. ilikepi December 11th, 2007 at 10:24 pm

id much rather live in an rv than a house… freaking crazy

  8. Brandon - Call Center Consultant December 11th, 2007 at 11:02 pm

Wow, who knew an SL500 would fit under there…better call my dad and let him know a Mercedes should be on his Christmas li list.

  9. JC December 11th, 2007 at 11:21 pm

That better be a right-hand drive SLK otherwise how are you supposed to get in and out of it?

  10. hanis21 December 11th, 2007 at 11:26 pm

how the hell can it possible go over speed bups..(refer pic 3)

  11. bob December 11th, 2007 at 11:43 pm

  12. dorklord December 11th, 2007 at 11:46 pm

Wow, is this what our soldiers and Iraqi innocents are dying for….to protect this crap?!!!

  13. Bryan December 11th, 2007 at 11:51 pm

How could you truly ‘camp’ in that thing? There’s nothing there that could ever qualify as ‘roughing it’.

  14. Andrew December 12th, 2007 at 12:06 am

its a slk, not an sl500.

  15. Ginbin December 12th, 2007 at 12:30 am

Dunno, maybe the wheels are on a hydralic system.

  16. shaker December 12th, 2007 at 1:09 am

    @Brandon - Call Center Consultant

Its not a SL moron its an SLK I guess thats why you work in a call center

  17. aaron December 12th, 2007 at 1:12 am

    @JC
u get in the other door thats how

  18. matt December 12th, 2007 at 1:43 am

Sweet, and apparently the outside changes colors, and the inside is two totally different interiors.

This looks like 2-3 RVs in one group of pictures.

  19. d December 12th, 2007 at 1:53 am

if its left hand drive park it facing the the other way silly

  20. Michael December 12th, 2007 at 2:05 am

It might lower down to get the car off. The last picture shows it up high enough.

  21. ad December 12th, 2007 at 2:27 am

what…no kitchen? where’s the dishwasher and the laundry?

  22. booty December 12th, 2007 at 2:34 am

First, this is obviously TWO different RV’s, the first has the car underneath, the other is the swank interior. It’s not just the paint job that gives it away, it’s an entirely different model of vehicle — check the headlights, for one example.

STILL — two very amazing vehicles, very cool…

  23. JJ2K1 December 12th, 2007 at 2:44 am

“how the hell can it possible go over speed bups..(refer pic 3)”

    Airlift suspension

  24. DB December 12th, 2007 at 6:00 am

Anybody else notice it grew an extra set of tires in the last photo?

  25. jag December 12th, 2007 at 8:35 am

@hanis: it’s a ‘kneeling’ bus. uses hydraulics to lower itself for loading people (and cars!) and to lift off the ground for driving (refer last pic)

  26. Exo December 12th, 2007 at 11:24 am

that was on top gear…twas mad

  27. Lambari Umberto Morti December 12th, 2007 at 11:29 am

You drive it from trailer park to trailer park. You gotta be rich, but you’re still white trash.

  28. Bournemouth Airport December 12th, 2007 at 11:39 am

These are two different RVs. The RV pictured in the first 4 images is made by Volkner Mobil (http://www.volkner-mobil.de/). The second RV pictured in the last 10 images is made by Newell (http://www.newellcoach.com/).

Although both look very nice. :)

  29. Jorma December 12th, 2007 at 1:36 pm

The pictures are from two different vehicles.

    Be sharp.

  30. BGriff December 12th, 2007 at 1:58 pm

It just takes the speed bump with it. Sort of a clean up service.

  31. Rick December 12th, 2007 at 3:37 pm

    Speed bumps

Like most of the high end coaches, the suspension raises and lowers. Right now you see it in the lowered position to make it easier to get in and out.

  32. kevinm December 12th, 2007 at 3:55 pm

Why are the interior shots from 4 different motor homes? The title should be changed to reflect the fact that the pictures of different rigs, and not all the same.

  33. Dermo December 12th, 2007 at 3:55 pm

It was on top gear a few weeks ago. Looking at $1,500,000 without the Mercedes.

  34. Amy December 12th, 2007 at 5:00 pm

much safer than flying&more comfort&privecy too

  35. CeridianMN December 12th, 2007 at 5:44 pm

The one with the car in it only shows one interior picture, we don’t get to see the back bedroom on it. I always wish we could see the floorplans for these things when I see them though - helps to visualize the whole thing better.

  36. silicon_rain December 12th, 2007 at 6:55 pm

This was on Top Gear a few weeks ago. Clarkson said it cost £750,000 (not including the neat little sports car).

  37. Greg December 12th, 2007 at 10:13 pm

“What a great idea in an age of climate change, dependence on renewable resources and global economic disparity.” - Mystech

Correct me if I’m wrong but we depend largely on NON-renewable resources for energy rather than renewable resources.

  38. tom December 15th, 2007 at 10:43 pm

I have one and another one on order, but different color Mercedes

    Man that is sweet.

  41. FunnY BeinG January 8th, 2008 at 1:51 pm

This bus looks like it popped out of a James Bond movie!! Wish i had the money to buy something like that! Having saw this, who needs a house ?
You will have your own house on wheels WITH parking!!

  43. Lonnie Royal January 16th, 2008 at 11:50 pm

Wow, I was immediately impressed!! Now I am of retirement age, but not sure if I could afford this monster luxury RV. I would be willing to give up an arm or leg for it, but then who would give one up for an old leg or arm? Well, I can dream, and maybe someday I can win one. Wow.

  44. Taz January 18th, 2008 at 4:46 am

Freaking amazing… you could easily live in that thing all year round.

  45. matek January 20th, 2008 at 1:25 am

This was actually demonstrated on one of the first episodes of seson 10 of Top Gear - the english car-tv-show. The car platform can actually slide all the way out, so it is easy to get in/out of the car.

  46. pablo January 26th, 2008 at 5:03 am

    waste of money

  47. Interiors January 30th, 2008 at 8:50 am

I was searching for information about \’Interior Wall Paint Sample\’, and this your page (\’Tunned Bus | thecontaminated.com\’) was in search results. Not sure why it appeared, but your site is still interesting to read :)
