This one train which is not going to see very often. This is an experimental train with rockets made in New York Central Railroad corporation, I suppose for speeding up. What do you think, how fast this M-497, nicknamed “Black Beetle“, train was?

    Those aren’t rocket engines, they are General Electric J47 turbojets. The pod on the top of the locomotive is clearly from the Convair B-36 strategic bomber.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-36#Specifications_.28B-36J-III.29)
