Wow that’s amazing. It’s wondrous what people can do when they put their head to it.

  2. 2008.03.12 13:07

Awesome. Would be a piss off if the water washed it away half way through.

  3. 2008.03.12 15:07

    Excellent pictures, I’m amazed

  4. 2008.03.12 17:06

  5. 2008.03.13 19:59

this guy needs a job or something

  6. 2008.03.17 01:29

Tony, that probably IS his job

  7. 2008.03.17 02:15

the water washing it away is the point, this is his job…

  8. 2008.03.19 11:50

yeah if i would put my time and afford for doing these
amazing works probably ill go nuts when the water
    come running down to it

  9. 2008.03.19 16:02

Naw, see, if he gets paid to do this, then he wants the water to wash it away, so they have to pay him for a new one. It’s a good business model.

Wouldn’t the darker sand dry out and become the same color as the rest of the sand within a matter of minutes? This has got to be fake.

  11. 2008.04.02 01:36

maybe he has a job and on his time off, instead of stuffing beer and potato chips down his gullet with his fat ass in front of the tv, he does this instead.

Some people are so gullible and will believe anything. What a bunch of muppets!

  13. 2008.04.19 10:04

“Some people are so gullible and will believe anything. What a bunch of muppets!”

    And then there’s you.

  14. 2008.07.17 06:45

Well, having Photoshop, I was able to recreate the images in a few minutes… So, out of pure experience, i HAVE to say”This is so ‘shopped’!”

  15. 2008.08.23 04:27

Haven’t any of you heard of the Nazca lines? These are based on the same concept.

  16. 2008.08.26 10:54

Photoshop was not used, check the http://www.circlemakers.org site if you have the time, man power and planning you can draw pretty much anything in the sand – the tide is your biggest enemy, in the uk theres probably only a few sites you get a long enough span of the tide being out.

I’ve seen images from other artists that do similar work.

You should check out the sand art ritual performed by Buddhist monks.

They use colored sand and spend many hours designing and creating art with colored sand. They allow people to view their art and then it gets raked out. The whole purpose is to not have attachment to physical things and to understand that everything is changing.

If you go to the Ackland Art Museum’s website you can see where two monks spend 35 days creating a piece of the sand art. Then they perform a ritual sweeping up the sand and destroying the art and then pouring the sand into a stream.

    its so obviously photoshopped?
the only detail shown is the first picture!
they even use the same picture of the beach for two different photos

‘Wouldn’t the darker sand dry out and become the same color as the rest of the sand within a matter of minutes? This has got to be fake.’

It’s not the the wetness of the sand causing the color, if you look at the first image it’s the sand casting shadows on itself. I did something like this in gradeschool, but they sucked. Also, I can recreate Picasso art in photoshop. So therefore those must be fake too right?

    shooped…. troll spotted.

  32. 2009.01.03 07:13

Wow, this guy is great! I live (and draw) on the beach too..and I don’t even know how to use Photoshop…however, since I got a computer (18 mons ago),I no longer seem to make art…either I am dismayed by all the ‘real good’ artists out there that I never would have found out about without the internet, or I sit on my ass for hours ‘Googling’ everything I can think of, and finding out it’s already been done (and better than I could have imagined)! The computer has done more damage to me in a year and a half, than all the drugs I’ve ever taken..when they find me dead, remember it was the Mac, not the Meth, that did it to me.

  33. 2009.01.03 07:18

I’m glad he’s not doing corporate logos cause that would be gay!
