Looks cool, my concerns would be more toward the strength of the materials at high speeds, i mean i dont see a single piece of duct tape... i am used to metal and bolts, most things made of wood are glued, and some times screwed together, not only that the strength of wood as thin as it looks doesnt seem like enough to handle an engine with much power, but then again they make very stong things out of all sorts of stuff. The engine design is interesting, and though i am sure there are similar designs i have never seen the heads positioned in that way to make the exaust exit where the intake would normally be. if the suspention can handle 100+ then i think maybe this car should set some examples for the shody metal work in current vehicles. Pretty car, and i know they can build em to funtion!

Before making comments like it's a fake, or that it will fall apart at "high" speeds, do some research. Check your facts and go to his website www.joeharmondesign.com. The car is real and the article does not say that it will outperform a Lambo, it says that it is theorized to do so based on the vehicle weight and engine power.

Nice work I don’t see why the lid would fly off at that speed I think it’s a great idea as long as the hinges are attached properly it reminds me of the British World War II de Havilland Mosquito AKA "The Wooden Wonder" or "The Timber Terror" it out performed all of its more modern day counterparts that where already using aluminum body’s.

how would you know how this car performs? how would you know the hatch will fly off at exactly 62 mph? you must be very smart to know these things just by looking at a car you know nothing about.

the air flow is gonna tear that engine hatch of at speeds above 100km/h, that is 62Mph for you US types. Looks cool thou, the craftsmanship looks excellent, don't doubt for a second
it will be drivable, as for out performing supercars, hmmm, don't think so.
