None of those are real origami except for the yoda a little. the rest anyone can do, just wrinkle a piece of paper, then unwrinkle and wrinkle again to the desired shape.
… is more like “papel mache”. Origami is pepper folding, this is more like sculpting wrinkle wet pepper. I admit it, is beautiful any ways you call it (but isn’t real origami, take a book plz)

True, but still super cool. I love the little Yoda.
Actually ALL of them are real origami. Most people still think of the 10 step paper cranes that we have all tried to make at some point, when confronted with the art. But these are a different league altogher. The crumpling that you see is really the paper being folded and going beyond what is considered a clean fold. what you have above is folding that exceeds 200 steps easily, all while using a square sheet and no tears what so ever. To be able to create those complex folds is akin to chess…you have to be quite the genius.
Anyone who thinks this as trivial or nerdy has absolutely no clue. I read about this one guy from an Ivy league school, middle aged, gave up his lucrative career as an engineer cause he didnt find it challenging…took up origami full time…now makes a killing designing idustrial products that benefit from his power of design…cant remember the name

@Vee if you look closely, most of them are real origami; they’re just crinkled for effect
