According to legend, Tesla was born precisely at midnight during an electrical storm, to a Serbian family in the village of Smiljan near Gospi?, in the Lika region of the Croatian Krajina in Military Frontier (part of the Austrian Empire), in the present-day Croatia.

Thats Amazing! Imagine if you were to walk around with the electricity around you.
You could use it as a self defense weapon.

Wow how f***ing stupid.

ya… f***ing stupid.
but i suppose rednecks don’t have anything better to do… l2p

Do you even understand what Tesla’s contributions to our modern science means to everyday life? If this is stupid, try living without electricity in your home, and then thank Tesla that you have it.

I like it :). Here’s an interesting video on Tesla: http://www.parislemon.com/2007/06/tesla-and-his-wireless-energy.html

I heard ignorance is bliss….

I think there was confusion in the earlier post, I think the letter “d” had a slip of the fingers. He meant to type:
“Fascinating! Here I am, presented with something of which I have little or no understanding and therefore almost a nonexistent capability for respect. If I had graduated from high school and pursued a rigorous education in college I might be able to appreciate these pictures. This really makes me mad at myself for not working harder in life. Wow! How f****ing stupid do I feel?”
I also corrected that punctuation, which was ridiculous. No one says “wow how.” Go ahead, try it. A comma might have been sufficient, but an exclamation prefacing the declaration of your self-loathing for being “f***ing stupid” seemed to warrant the exclamation point.

Honestly I’d be too freaked out to try something like that… hella crazy
November 29th, 2007 at 10:59 pm
why does it make a ring like that?
November 29th, 2007 at 11:09 pm

These images are taken from tesladownunder.com, it is not in a residential neighborhood and the creator of the coils has a very advanced knowledge of electricity and its interactions.
Having personally been in similar experimentation I can say it is actually quite safe if you take the precautions and don’t mess about. Having said that I would NOT recommend people try and build their own. If you want to play with electricity remember it can kill you. How bout a Van Der Graaf machine or a small Jacob’s Ladder (one on instructables for example).

Amazing violet lights.
I wonder if it smells like electricity after you use this kind of deveces.

I hope these electrical experiments do what Tesla s were completely unable to accomplish due to Edison taking over the electricity industry. probably nothing as far fetched as the things seen in the movie The prestige. but the other things that were silenced.

Hi…Man i love reading your blog, interesting posts ! it was a great Saturday .

Tesla coils are amazing. I haven’t seen that particular hue of violet before. I’m guessing that the circles are the result of someone moving the spark around in time elapsed exposure? Thanks for these!

Ya’ll do realize that several of those are time-lapsed or long-exposure photos right? Like the one with the dude and the “halos” around him and the car one.

The halos may be lime lapsed. But it is most likely a copper ring hooked up to the coil. the electricity is just arcing off of it. + some plastic to hold them up. My coil is the shit. 500,000 volts. But made custom with very low amps. Smaller arcs -_-” but all you get from direct contact is a light burn.

Wow, I love it! Just wonder how beautiful it is. Maybe I can try that . Just kidding! You people are crazy to stand right in the middle of electricity. Thank God for it. But that is still crazy!
